Guthrie’s 5 RBI and pitching prowess give Caucasians 6-4 win over 4 out of 5 Dentists

Guthrie, who pitched a complete game, delivers to Chris in his first career at-bat.

After trailing early, the Caucasians scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning and never relinquished the lead, as they moved to 5-0 on the season with a win over 4 out of 5 Dentists.

Bradyn led off the game with a single for the Dentists, but Guthrie got out of the inning unscathed after retired the next two batters. Ron was on the mound for 4 out of 5 Dentists, and he retired the Caucasians in order in the first.

The Dentists got on the board first in the top half of the second inning when Ron hit a two-run homer driving in Mike to give his team the lead 2-0. But the Caucasians responded in a big way in the bottom half of the inning. Morrison singled, and following a Les ground-out, Guthrie hit a two-run blast to tie the game. Morrison followed with another single, and Les put two men on with a single of his own. Then Guthrie blasted off for his second homer of the inning, a three-run shot, to give the Vaginas a 5-2 lead. Ron retired Morrison to end the inning, but the damage had been done.

Both pitchers settled into a groove after the second inning, as both Guthrie and Ron retired the sides in order in the third and fourth innings.

Down three runs, Bradyn led off the fifth inning with a home run to right field, cutting the deficit to 5-3. Guthrie retired Ron and Chris to end the inning.

Morrison made up for the run with a solo shot to lead off the bottom of the fifth, extending the Vagina lead to three runs yet again. Les and Guthrie flew out to end the fifth.

Down three and needing a rally, the Dentists started the top of the sixth with a single by Mike. Bradyn doubled to put runners on second and third with no outs. Ron flew out to deep center field, allowing Mike to tag and score on the sac fly. With one out and the tying run at the plate, Chris grounded out to center field to end the game, giving the Caucasians a 6-4 win as the Dentists remained winless.
