Caucasians Send Pumice! to the Brink; Dentists and Fish Sticks Exchange Blows

14 Jul

After one week of the EWL Playoffs, the Caucasian Vaginas have Pumice on Slow! on the ropes after winning both games. Pumice! will have to win three straight games to advance to the EWL Championship, and one game to extend their season.

The Fish Sticks were two innings away from sharing a 2-0 series lead with the Caucasians, but the Dentists showed resiliency, storming back into the series and drawing a 1-1 tie after two games.

Barring unusual circumstances, two teams will advance to the EWL Championship on Tuesday, July 19th, and two teams will have played their last wiffleball game of 2011, and possibly their career.

All stats, results, and recaps have been updated. Photos and videos will come soon. Please vote for Wiffler of the Week and check out the newest Wifflecast.

This could be one of the toughest decisions to date for PBR Wiffler of the Week. Everyone on the ballot exceeded expectations at some point, but nobody dominated for both games.

Blose, again, just mashed at the plate and had an unbelievable, fence scaling putout in game 2. But couldn’t push the Gay Sticks to victory.

Bradyn had a great week back on the Wiffle diamond with 3 home runs, but also couldn’t help his team to the W in their first game.

Guthrie was one hit away from a no-hitter, but watched a fly ball go through his hands and effectively threw a chance at that in the garbage, and was somewhat inconsistent at the plate.

Joey had the eventual game-winning home run in game one, but struggled on the mound in his second game as the Dentist bats came alive.

Fresh off the DL, Les showed he was back in it with a trio of home runs and some nifty fielding, but made it a close game 2 on the mound.

Ron had 2 home runs and managed the Dentists to an incredible game 2 win against the Sticks, but also picked up the game 1 loss.

    Decisions, decisions…

      Loving the banter.

Where was all this banter earlier in the season?

      Banter.

Wholeheartedly agree, more banter is needed.

On a positive note, it looks like EWL has gotten some traffic from Wifflers Digest. Great find Blose.

Also, all kinds of banter are welcome, by me at least, hopefully all. Witty, insulting, off-color, inappropriate, praising…

    All kinds

    banter
