Cheap Goats continued their second-half surge into week 9, clinching the #2 seed and moving out of the EWL cellar for the first time since 2023. They were led by Joey, who had eight extra-base hits, and after turning in his best week of the 2026 season, he was named Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week for week 9.
In a 9-3 win over Shady Characters, Joey went 4-for-6 with two triples, two home runs, four runs scored, and three RBI.
In a 7-3 loss to Guac Boys, Joey went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, a home run, two runs scored, and one RBI.
In total, Joey went 8-for-11 with two doubles, three triples, three homers, six runs scored, and four RBI in week 9.
