Bohn and Christian went head-to-head in a pitcher’s duel to close out the 2026 regular season, and Cheap Goats made the most of their opportunities, led by Courtlen, who went 2-for-3 with a triple and a homer, and held on to win 4-3.
Christian took the mound for Cheap Goats and retired Bohn and Alec to begin the game.
Bohn matched him in the bottom of the first, retiring Joey and Kevin in order.
Tone and Jan were both retired in a quick top of the second.
Cheap Goats broke through in the bottom of the second. Courtlen led off with a solo homer, giving Cheap Goats a 1-0 lead. Christian grounded out and Dinger flew out to end the inning.
Guac Boys answered in the top of the third. Bohn singled with one out before Alec launched a two-run homer, putting Guac Boys in front 2-1. Christian retired Tone and Jan to end the inning.
Joey singled to lead off the top of the third. Kevin flew out, and Joey was doubled up on the play, ending the inning.
Bohn singled again to open the top of the fourth, but Alec grounded out and Tone flew out, leaving him stranded at first.
Cheap Goats rallied in the bottom of the fourth. Courtlen led off with a triple, and Christian followed with an RBI double to tie the game at 2-2. Dinger then doubled home Christian, giving Cheap Goats a 3-2 lead. Joey followed with another double, putting runners on second and third with no outs. Bohn got Kevin to ground out for the first out, but Dinger scored on the play to extend the Cheap Goats advantage to 4-2. Courtlen flew out to end the inning, stranding Joey, and Guac Boys trailed by two runs.
Christian retired Jan and Bohn in order in the top of the fifth.
Bohn matched him in the bottom half, retiring Christian and Dinger in order.
Guac Boys mounted one final threat in the sixth. Alec led off with a triple, and Tone followed with an RBI single to cut the deficit to 4-3. The tying run was on base, but Christian buckled down, retiring Jan and Bohn to strand the runner, ending the inning and the game, giving Cheap Gotas a 4-3 victory.
The win moved Cheap Goats to 11-9 on the season while Guac Boys finished the season in first place with a record of 14-6.
