Miller connects on a three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the sixth, his only hit of the game, but a decisive one that gave Cheap Goats a 10-9 victory over Shady Characters
Cheap Goats and Shady Characters went back and forth for six innings, and Shady Characters entered the bottom of the sixth with a two-run lead before Cheap Goats rallied, culminating in Miller’s three-run walk-off homer to seal the victory. It was Miller’s only hit in the game, but it was the decisive one, completing Cheap Goats’ rally of six unanswered runs to win. Joey had three homers and seven RBI in the win, and Christian pitched a complete game win on the mound.
Christian started for Cheap Goats, and he allowed a leadoff triple to Dylan. Christian retired Nate for the first out of the inning, but Dylan scored on the play, putting Shady Characters ahead 1-0. Christian then retired Tom to end the inning.
Tom took the mound for Shady Characters, and the first batter he faced, Joey, led off the game with a solo homer, tying the score at 1-1. Two batters later, Christian singled, and he moved to second when Dinger followed with a single. With one out and two on, Joey cleared the bases with his second homer of the inning, a three-run shot that put Cheap Goats in front 4-1. Tom then retired Miller for the second out of the inning.

Christian rolled through the top of the second, retiring Jason and Lucas in order.
Tom matched him in the bottom of the second, sending Christian and Dinger down consecutively.
Shady Characters pulled closer to Cheap Goats in the top of the third. Dylan led off the inning with a solo shot, and Nate followed with one of his own. The back-to-back homers narrowed Cheap Goats lead to 4-3. Christian retired Tom and Jason to end the inning, and Cheap Goats led by a run.

Tom once pitched effectively in the bottom of the third, retiring Joey and Miller in order, and the score remained 4-3.
Shady Characters opened up their offense in the top of the fourth, taking the lead. Dylan hit a one-out double, and Nate followed with his second homer of the game, a two-run shot that put Shady Characters ahead 5-4. Tom singled, and he moved from first to third when Jason followed with a double. With one out and two runners in scoring position, Lucas emptied the bases with a three-run bomb to right-center, making the score 8-4. Christian retired Dylan to the the inning, and Cheap Goats’ one-run lead had turned into a four-run deficit.
Dinger doubled with one out in the bottom of the fourth, but Cheap Goats couldn’t plate him. Tom retired Joey to strand the runner, ending the inning, and Shady Characters continued to lead by four runs.

Christian retired Nate to start the top of the fifth, but Tom followed with a solo homer, extending the Shady Characters lead to 9-4. Jason hit a one-out single, but Christian stranded him, retiring Lucas for the second out of the inning.
Down five runs, Cheap Goats responded in the bottom of the fifth. Christian hit a one-out single, and he moved to third when Dinger followed with a double. For the second time in the game, Joey came to the plate with one out and two runners on, and for the second time, he hit a three-run homer. Tom retired Miller for the second out of the inning, but Joey’s homer had cut the Shady Characters’ lead to 9-7.

Christian got back on track in the top of the sixth, retiring Dylan and Nate consecutively, and Cheap Goats trailed by two runs heading into the bottom of the sixth.
Christian led off the bottom of the sixth with a double. Tom retired Dinger for the first out of the inning, and Joey came to the plate as the tying run. Shady Characters intentionally walked him, putting the winning run on first base. The move did not pay off. The next batter, Miller, crushed a three-run bomb to left, a walk-off homer that gave Cheap Goats a dramatic 10-9 win.
The win moved Cheap Goats to 8-9, and the loss dropped Shady Characters to 13-5.
