The former champs, Shady Characters, were without their best player in week 3, but their most veteran player, Tom, stepped up, helping them snap a four-game losing skid, toppling the undefeated defending champs in the process. After spending almost the entirety of both week 3 games on base and surging to the top of the EWL leaderboards, Tom was named Wiffler of the Week for week 3 of the 2026 EWL season.
In a heartbreaking loss to Cheap Goats, Shady Characters’ fourth straight defeat, Tom went 3-for-5 with a single, two home runs, two runs scored, and five RBI.
In a bounceback performance that ended a rare Shady Characters losing streak, Tom went 5-for-6 with two singles, two doubles, a homer, two runs scored, and three RBI in an 11-4 defeat of Guac Boys.
In total, Tom went 8-for-11 with three singles, two doubles, three deep shots, four runs scored, and eight RBI in week 3.
This is the seventh time Tom has been named Wiffler of the Week in his wiffle career. He was named Wiffler of the Week once in 2025, 2024, 2022, and 2021, and twice in 2023.
