Jon M homered twice and hurled a complete game shutout on the mound as Jack Shack defeated Shady Characters 6-0 to close out the 2026 regular season. Josh, Jon D, and Dave also homered, and the Jack Shack defense allowed only two baserunners in a smothering conclusion to the season.
Josh opened the game with a leadoff homer for the second consecutive game, putting Jack Shack up 1-0 immediately. The next batter, Jon M, followed with a solo shot, and the back-to-back bombs gave Jack Shack an early 2-0 lead. Jacob followed with a single, but Shady Characters’ starter, Lucas, retired Jon D and Dave to strand him, ending the inning.
Jon M was in control early, retiring Michael and Billy in order in the top of the first.
Josh was retired to begin the top of the second before Jon M connected for his second solo homer of the game, extending the lead to 3-0. Jacob followed with a triple, but Lucas stranded him by retiring Jon D to end the inning.
Lucas and Nate were both retired in order in the bottom of the second as Jon M continued to cruise.
Jack Shack added another run in the top of the third. Dave led off with a single, and Josh followed with another base hit. Jon M grounded out, but Dave scored on the play to stretch the lead to 4-0. Jacob flew out to end the inning.
Michael flew out to begin the bottom of the third before Billy doubled, giving Shady Characters their first hit of the game. Jon M retired Lucas to leave him stranded at second.
Billy replaced Lucas on the mound to begin the fourth. Jon D greeted him with a solo homer, extending Jack Shack’s advantage to 5-0. Billy settled in, retiring Dave and Josh to end the inning.
Nate and Michael were retired in the bottom of the fourth as Jon M remained in complete command.
Billy pitched a scoreless frame in the top of the fifth, retiring Jon M and Jacob consecutively.
Billy doubled to start the bottom of the fifth, but Jon M again worked out of trouble, retiring Lucas and Nate to preserve the shutout.
Jack Shack added one final insurance run in the sixth. Jon D flew out to begin the inning before Dave launched a solo homer, pushing the lead to 6-0. Josh followed with a double, but Jon M grounded out to end the inning.
Needing six runs to extend the game, Shady Characters were unable to mount a rally. Jon M retired Michael and Billy to complete the shutout, securing a 6-0 victory for Jack Shack.
The win moved Jack Shack to 9-11 on the season while Shady Characters finished the regular season 6-14.

Jon M turned in one of the best pitching performances of the 2026 season, facing two more than the minimum batters, throwing a complete game shutout while allowing only two hits.
Lucas took the loss for Shady Characters, allowing four runs on seven hits over three innings.
Billy pitched the final three innings in relief, allowing two runs on three hits.
Josh led Jack Shack on offense, going 3-for-5 with a single, a double, and a solo homer. He led off the game with a home run, his third leadoff homer of the 2026 season, and the 18th of his wiffle career.
Jon M also went 2-for-5 with two solo homers.
Billy had Shady Characters’ only hits in the game, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.
