Questionable Outfit found multiple ways to win in week 3, coming from behind, with suffocating pitching and defense, and with fireworks at the plate. When all was said and done, they have moved into a tie for first place with Cookies & Cream.

Five games were played in week three including the four regularly scheduled games and a makeup game that was postponed from week 2. Questionable Outfit pulled off the rare feat of winning three games in one week and moved into a position they have become very comfortable in, first place. After giving Cookies & Cream their first loss of the season, Questionable Outfit moved into a tie for first with Cookies at 5-1. The Ham Slams also made history by becoming the first team in league history to wear official uniforms, with a custom designed logo, names, and numbers on their red and white jerseys.

In the first game of the week that was rescheduled from week 2, Questionable Outfit overcame a 3-2 deficit in the bottom of the fifth, scoring four runs to beat the Ham Slams 6-3. Nate was effective on the mound in a complete game win, and Tom went 3-for-4 with a triple, two homers, two runs scored, and three RBI, hitting both home runs during Questionable’s rally in the bottom of the fifth.

The Ham Slams became the first team in EWL history to wear officially made uniforms. The beautiful get-ups were designed by their own player, Andrew, and featured a mascot as well as individual names and numbers on the back of the jerseys.

In the second game of week 3, Joey took a perfect game into the top of the fifth inning for Cookies & Cream before allowing a hit against Eastbound & Dahn, and he went 2-for-4 with a double and a homer at the plate as Cookies won 4-0.

Questionable Outfit defeated the Ham Slams for the second time in week 3, winning the third game 4-0 as Bob pitched a complete game shutout, allowing only four hits in six innings. Bob led off the game with a homer, which would be all of the run support that he would need, and Tom went 4-for-6.

In the fourth game, Cookies led Questionable Outfit 4-1 heading into the top of the fourth, when Questionable hit back-to-back-to-back homers twice in a single inning. The eight-run inning catapulted Questionable to an insurmountable lead, and the 12-7 win over Cookies was their third of of week 3, placing them in a tie for first atop the EWL standings. Bob hit three homers in the game, Nate and Mike each hit two, and Tom hit one.

The Ham Slams avoided dropping three games in week 3 by defeating Eastbound & Dahn 7-3 in the final game of the week. Josh was in control on the mound, and the Ham Slams picked up their first win in their new uniforms.

The action continues in week 4 as Eastbound & Dahn will look to snap out of the worst start to a season in EWL history, Cookies and Questionable will battle for the top of the standings, and the Ham Slams will try to climb their way back into the thick of things.

The games begin Tuesday, May 24th at 6:30PM.
