Questionable Outfit took sole possession of first place in the standings with a 7-2 win over Cookies & Cream.
Bob started on the mound for Questionable Outfit, and he got behind early. Dinger led off the game with a single, and moved to second when Joey grounded out for the first out of the inning. The next batter, Morrison, roped a double off the fence, scoring Dinger from first. But Morrison tried to extend the double into a triple, and Bob caught him in between bases for the second out, ending the inning.
Dinger had three innings of eligibility left for the week, so he started the game for Cookies & Cream. He cruised through the bottom of the first, retiring the side in order.
Dinger led off the top of the second with a single, his second in as many at-bats. The next batter, Joey, grounded out to Reilly for the first out of the inning. Reilly then pegged Dinger, trying to advance to second, for the second out, ending the inning.
Down 1-0, Questionable Outfit got out their sticks in the bottom of the second. Dinger retired Bob for the first out, but Mike followed with a one-out single. The next batter, Tom, hit a deep two-run homer, putting Questionable Outfit ahead 2-1. Reilly followed with a solo blast, and the back-to-back homers gave Questionable Outfit a two-run lead at 3-1. Bob followed with a single, but the rally ended there, as Mike grounded out to left for the second out of the inning.
Morrison led off the top of the third with a single, but he was stranded, as Bob retired Dinger and Joey to end the inning.
Questionable Outfit would add to their lead in the bottom of the third. Dinger retired Tom for the first out of the inning, and Reilly followed with a one-out single. The next batter, Bob, doubled off the fence, scoring Reilly from first and making the score 4-1. With one out and a runner on second, Mike tripled, extending the Questionable Outfit lead to 5-1. Tom followed with a double, scoring Mike, and the score was 6-1. Dinger finally retired Reilly for the second out of the inning, but Questionable Outfit had opened up a five-run lead.
Down 6-1, Cookies & Cream showed signs of life in the top of the fourth. Morrison led off the inning with a deep solo blast, cutting the score to 6-2. After Dinger grounded out for the first out, Joey hit a one-out triple into the tree. But Bob buckled down, retiring Morrison for the second out, stranding the runner at third and maintaining the 4-run lead.
Questionable Outfit would immediately make up the run the gave up in the top of the fourth, as Cookies & Cream turned to Morrison out of the bullpen. Bob led off the bottom half of the inning with a triple, and scored when Mike hit a sacrifice fly to right field. Morrison retired Tom for the second out of the inning, but Questionable Outfit were ahead 7-2.

Bob cruised through the top of the fifth, retiring the side in order. Morrison returned the favor in the bottom of the fifth, sending Reilly and Bob down consecutively.
Down five runs, Cookies & Cream couldn’t string together hits in the top of the sixth. Bob retired Morrison and then Dinger to end the inning and the game.
The win moved Questionable Outfit into first place with a record of 11-6, while Cookies & Cream fell into second place at 10-7.
