Morrison went a perfect 4-for-4 in his first game with his new team, leading Eastbound & Dahn to a 10-4 victory over the Ham Slams.
The Ham Slams boasted a brand new roster to start the 2015 season, returning Charlie, Josh, and Steve from 2014 but adding three EWL rookies in Tim, Dan, and Adam. They returned to their workhorse, Charlie, who took the mound to start the game. He struck out the first batter he faced, Tim, and pitched a scoreless top of the first inning.
Eastbound penciled in Nate as their Opening Day starter, and the first batter he faced, Josh, pelted a solo shot to left, putting the Ham Slams up 1-0 immediately.

Charlie and Nate each cruised through the second, and the Slams led 1-0 after two innings.
Eastbound would get on the scoreboard in the top of the third. Tim and Morrison each doubled, putting runners on second and third. Nate flew out to short left for the first out of the inning, but Christian followed with a one-out double off the fence, clearing the bases and putting Eastbound ahead 2-1. Charlie fanned Helal to end the inning, but the Ham Slams had surrendered the lead.

Nate rolled through the bottom of the third, and Eastbound would add to their lead in the top of the fourth. Steve led off the inning with a single, and Morrison’s one-out two-run blast extended the lead to 4-1.
The Slams would fight back in the bottom of the fourth. Dan led off the inning with a double, the first hit of his career, and after Adam grounded out to left, Josh crushed a two-run homer, his second blast of the game, cutting the score to 4-3.
After four innings on the mound, the Ham Slams relieved Charlie with Josh, saving some innings of eligibility for their second game of the week against Questionable Outfit. Josh pitched a perfect frame in the top of the fifth, and the score remained 4-3.
Nate allowed a one-out triple to Dan in the bottom of the fifth, but stranded the runner, preventing the Slams from tying the game.
With the score 4-3, Eastbound got out their sticks in the top of the sixth. Steve led off the inning with a double, and with one out, Morrison hit a two-run homer, his second in as many at-bats, making the score 6-3. Nate then doubled, and after Christian singled to put runners on the corners, Helal got his first hit of the season, a three-run bomb to clear the bases. Steve followed with a homer, and the back-to-back jacks made the score 10-3. Josh finally retired Tim to end the inning, but Eastbound had pulled away in decisive fashion.
The Slams tried to rally in the bottom of the sixth, as Josh led off the inning with a double and scored on a Steve single, cutting the score to 10-4. But Nate got out of the inning without further damage, retiring Tim and Adam to strand runners on base, giving Eastbound & Dahn a win to start the season.
Eastbound & Dahn moved to 1-0 on the year, while the Ham Slams dropped to 0-1.

Charlie took the loss for the Ham Slams, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits in 4 innings while striking out two. Josh pitched two innings of relief for the Slams, surrendering 6 runs on 6 hits.
Morrison led the way for Eastbound, going 4-for-4 with a single, a double, two homers, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI.
Steve and Christian each went 3-for-4 in the Eastbound win. Steve had a single, a double, a home run, 3 runs scored and an RBI, while Christian had 2 singles, a double, a run scored, and 2 RBI.
Josh led the Ham Slams at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, 2 homers, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBI. Dan also went 3-for-4 in his EWL debut, with a single, a double, a triple, and a run scored.
