
Ryan continued his amazing rookie campaign going 6-for-8 with a single, two doubles, a triple, two homers, five runs scored, five RBI, hitting for the cycle in Jack Shack’s shootout win over the Guac Boys
Brian went a perfect 6-for-6 in his 2023 debut and all four Jack Shack players had at least four hits in a back-and-forth slugfest with Guac Boys that ended in a 14-13 victory. Ryan also continued the electric start to his rookie season, going 6-for-8 with five extra-base hits and hitting for the cycle in the incredible Jack Shack victory.
Bohn started on the mound for the Guac Boys, and he fell behind early. After retiring Josh for the first out of the inning, he gave up a one-out solo shot to Ryan, making the score 1-0. Brian followed with a single in his first at-bat of the 2023 season, but Bohn stranded him, retiring Harry Chiti to end the inning.
Bohn got some significant run support in the bottom of the first. Alec led off the inning with a single, and Bohn provided his own offense, hitting a two-run bomb to put Guac Boys in front 2-1. Brum tripled, and he scored when Form grounded out to center for the first out of the inning. Jan followed with a solo homer in his first at-bat of the season, and the score was 4-1. Jack Shack’s starter, Brian, finally escaped the inning, getting Sean to fly out to left for the second out of the inning.
Down three runs, Jack Shack immediately responded in the top of the second. Josh singled and moved from first to third when Ryan followed with a double. With no outs and two runners in scoring position, Brian hit a towering fly to right that was caught for an out, but Josh tagged and scored on the play, and the sac fly cut the score to 4-2. Harry then singled, scoring Ryan from second, and the score was 4-3. Josh singled to put runners on the corners with one out, and Ryan cleared the bases with a two-RBI double, putting Jack Shack back in front 5-4. Brian then doubled to score Ryan, and Jack Shack led 6-4. Bohn finally got the second out of the inning, retiring Harry to strand Brian at second, and Jack Shack led by two runs.
Brian escaped damage in the bottom of the second. He allowed a one-out triple to Alec, but stranded him, retiring Bohn for the second out of the inning, and the score remained 6-4.
Jack Shack added to their lead in the top of the third. With Bohn at his innings limit for the week, Jan came to the mound, and Jack Shack got on him right away. Josh doubled, and Ryan drove him in with an RBI triple that made the score 7-4. Brian then tripled, scoring Ryan, and the Jack Shack lead was 8-4. Jan got Harry to ground out for the first out of the inning, but Brian scored on the play, making the score 9-4. Jan then retired Josh to end the inning with Jack Shack ahead by five runs.

Guac Boys got out their sticks and evened things up in the bottom of the third. Brum led off the inning with a solo homer, narrowing the deficit to 9-5. Form doubled, and Jan drove him in with his second homer of the game, a two-run shot that cut the score to 9-7. Two batters later, Tone hit a one-out solo homer, and the score was 9-8. Alec doubled, and he moved to third when Bohn followed with a single. With one out and runners on the corners, Brum singled, scoring Alec, and Guac Boys had tied the game at 9-9. The Guac Boys continued to have two runners on base, but Brian finally got out of the inning, retiring Form for the second out and stranding both runners.

The game wouldn’t remain tied for long. Ryan led off the top of the fourth with a single, and when Brian followed with a single, Ryan was caught out trying to advance. With one out and a runner on first, Harry hit a two-run shot, giving Jack Shack the lead again at 11-9. Jan retired Josh to end the inning, and the Guac Boys trailed again.
Yet again, the Guac Boys bounced back in the bottom half of the inning. With Brian at his innings limit for the week, Jack Shack brought Josh to the mound, and he got into trouble. Jan led off with a triple, and Sean drove him in with an RBI single that made the score 11-10. Tone then singled, putting runners on first and third with no outs. Josh got Alec to ground out to center for the first out of the inning, but Sean scored on the play, and the game was tied at 11-11. Bohn then singled, scoring Tone, and Guac Boys had reclaimed the lead. Josh got Brum to fly out to right for the second out of the inning, and Guac Boys led 12-11.

The slugfest continued in the top of the fifth. Brian hit a one-out double, and Harry drove him in with a double, tying the game at 12-12. Jan retired Josh to strand Harry at second, ending the inning.
Brian cruised through the bottom of the fifth, retiring Form and Jan in order, and the game was tied at 12-12 through five innings.
Jack Shack got out their bats again in the top of the sixth. Ryan led off the inning with a solo homer, his fifth extra-base hit of the game, putting Jack Shack ahead 13-12. Brian doubled, and Harry drove him in with an RBI double that extended the Jack Shack lead to 14-12. Josh singled, but Harry was caught out on the play for the first out of the inning. Jan then retired Ryan to end the inning, and the Guac Boys would need two more runs to extend the game.
First first batter Josh faced in the bottom of the sixth, Sean, crushed a solo homer to right-center, cutting the Jack Shack lead to 14-13. Guac Boys had the tying run at the plate with no outs. They had battled back time and time again throughout the game, but their luck would end here. Josh retired Tone and Alec in order, ending the inning and the game, giving Jack Shack a 14-13 victory.
The win moved Jack Shack to 2-2 on the season, and the loss dropped Guac Boys to 1-3.
