Josh of Jack Shack Named Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

22 Aug

No hitter is more feared from the leadoff spot than Josh, who broke the EWL single-season record for leadoff homers when he hit his eighth (in 20 games) in week 10. He has turned on the gas over the last 3/4 of the season, and by no coincidence, Jack Shack has surged in momentum and up the season standings. After another productive week, Josh was voted Wiffler of the Week for week 10 of the 2024 EWL season.

In a dramatic 4-2 come-from-behind win over Guac Boys that clinched the #3 seed for Jack Shack, Josh went 1-for-3 with a double.

In an 8-3 win over Cheap Goats to close out the regular season, he went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple, two home runs, three runs scored, and three RBI, including the record-breaking leadoff homer.

In total, Josh went 5-for-8 with a single, a double, a triple, two home runs, three runs scored, and three RBI in two Jack Shack wins.

This is the eighth time Josh has been voted Wiffler of the Week during his wiffle career and the second time this season (2016 – twice, 2018 – twice, 2021, 2023 – week 6).
