Jack Shack trailed 5-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth, and they walked it off in dramatic fashion. Jacob tied the game with a solo shot to lead off the sixth, and Dave crushed a two-run walk-off homer to secure a 7-5 victory. Jacob went deep twice, Josh had three hits, and Jon D was effective on the mound, as Jack Shack closed out the first half of their 2026 season with four consecutive wins.
Jon D took the mound for Jack Shack, and after allowing a one-out single to Kevin, he stranded him, retiring Christian to end the inning.
Christian started for Cheap Goats, and Jack Shack struck first in the bottom of the opening inning. Josh singled and Jon M connected for a two-run homer, giving Jack Shack an early 2-0 lead. Christian retired Jacob and Jon D to end the inning, and Cheap Goats trailed by two.
Cheap Goats answered in the top of the second. Dinger led off with a double, and after Conor’s sacrifice fly moved him to third, Joey launched a two-run homer, tying the game at 2-2. Kevin flew out to end the inning, and the game was tied.
Dave grounded out to begin the bottom of the second before Josh hit a solo homer, putting Jack Shack back in front 3-2. Jon M flew out to end the inning.
Christian and Dinger were both retired in the top of the third as Jon D worked a quick inning.
Jack Shack added to their lead in the bottom of the third. Jacob led off with a solo homer, extending the advantage to 4-2. Dave and Josh each singled with one out, putting runners on first and second, but Christian avoided further damage, retiring Jon M to strand both runners, ending the inning.
Cheap Goats battled back in the top of the fourth. Conor opened the inning with a solo homer, cutting the deficit to 4-3. Joey then singled but was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a double. Kevin followed with a solo homer, tying the game at 4-4. Christian grounded out to end the inning, and Cheap Goats had pulled even with Jack Shack.
Jon D hit a one-out double in the bottom of the fourth, but Christian stranded him. He got Dave to groundout for the second out, and the game remained tied.
Dinger and Conor were retired in order in the top of the fifth as Jon D kept Cheap Goats off the board.
Josh and Jon M were both retired in the bottom of the fifth, sending the game to the sixth inning tied at 4-4.
Cheap Goats mounted one final rally in the top of the sixth. Joey tripled to begin the inning, and Kevin followed with an RBI triple, giving Cheap Goats a 5-4 lead. Christian then flew out, and Kevin was doubled up attempting to tag from third and score, ending the inning and Cheap Goats led by a run heading into the bottom of the sixth.
Jack Shack continued to ride the momentum of their winning streak into the bottom of the sixth. Jacob led off with his second homer of the game, tying the score at 5-5. Jon D followed with a double, and Dave ended the game with a two-run walk-off homer, giving Jack Shack a 7-5 victory.
The win moved Jack Shack to 6-4 on the season while Cheap Goats dropped to 4-6.

Dave’s two-run walk-off homer was the first walk-off home run of his career, the second of the 2026 EWL season, and the 39th in league history.
