Questionable Outfit started the 2014 season by outscoring their opponents 21-0.

Questionable Outfit were the league’s strongest team throughout the 2013 EWL regular season before being stunned by Cookies & Cream in the Wiffle Series. Since losing the final game and the championship, they have marked Opening Day of the 2014 season on their calendars, as they look to claim the 2014 Wiffle Series title.

They returned to form in week 1 of the season, outscoring their opponents 21-0, and through two games, they have not allowed a run. They showed they can win in many ways, scratching out a close one against rivals Cookies & Cream and breezing past the Ham Slams in a cakewalk. With the addition of Morrison, Questionable Outfit will once again be the team to beat in 2014.

Other items of note in week 1 include the return of Blose, the 2011 Wiffler of the Year, to the EWL. He will lead Cookies & Cream in their quest to repeat as champions. Eastbound & Dahn played without their captain, Helal, but should have a strong squad in 2013 with 2012 batting champion Ivan and 2013 Fieldmaster Hartley returning. The Ham Slams played without their core players in week 1, and when they return, they should fare better than the 34-0 combined beating they took to start the season. They should return a team with 10+ combined years of EWL experience in week 2.

The wiffle action continues Tuesday, May 13th at the Wiffle Diamond in Shadyside.
