Cookies & Cream had no answer for Questionable Outfit’s bats as Questionable pulled ahead 2-0 in the season series with an easy 14-1 victory.

It was a battle of the aces, as Cookies & Cream sent Guthrie to the mound to square off against Questionable Outfit and Bob. Both pitchers cruised through the first inning, and the game was scoreless after one.

Morrison led off the top of the second with a solo shot that put Questionable Outfit ahead 1-0. Kimble, in his first at-bat of the 2014 season, singled, but Guthrie stranded him, retiring the next two batters.

Dinger evened the score in the bottom of the second. With one out, he hit a solo homer to left-center, tying the game at 1-1. Guthrie followed with a single, but Bob got out of the inning after allowing only one run.

The onslaught started in the top of the third, as Guthrie was hit hard by Questionable. Morrison and Kimble each singled to start the inning, and Riley followed with a three-run blast to put Questionable ahead 4-1. Guthrie retired the next two hitters, but Questionable was far from finished at the plate.

Bob allowed a double to Vassallo in the bottom of the third, but Cookies & Cream couldn’t capitalize on the runner in scoring position.

Kimble led off the top of the fourth with a home run, putting Questionable ahead 5-1. After retiring Riley, Guthrie gave up another solo shot, this time to Bob, making the score 6-1. Bob’s home run to deep right field was one of the longest home runs in the history of the EWL, clearing the road and landing in the tree across the street. Morrison followed with a triple, but Guthrie escaped further damage, for now, retiring Kimble to end the inning.

Bob cruised through the bottom of the fourth, and Questionable blew open the game in the top of the fifth. Riley and Bob led off the inning with singles, and Morrison crushed a three-run bomb to deep left field, putting Questionable on top by a score of 9-1. Guthrie was removed from the game, and Cookies & Cream called Joey from the bullpen. He would perform no better, as he immediately got into trouble. After retiring Riley, Bob doubled and moved to third on a Morrison single. The next batter, Kimble, blasted a three-run homer to left, and the score was 12-1.

Bob breezed through the bottom of the fifth, as Cookies & Cream could not get their bats going.

Cookies & Cream would head into the bottom of the sixth down 13-1, and they had no means to rally.
