After losing game 1 to Eastbound & Dahn in their worst performance of the 2014 season, Questionable Outfit bounced back in game 2 and Bob, the 2013 EWL Wiffler of the Year, pitched one of the most historic outings in league history. Two years after Guthrie pitched the only perfect game in EWL history during the 2012 playoffs, Bob matched him, retiring 12 consecutive Eastbound & Dahn hitters in order in a truly remarkable display.

Bob retired Ivan and Hartley in order in the top of the first, and Questionable Outfit took an early lead in the bottom of half of the inning, providing the only run support Bob would need. Eastbound & Dahn sent Christian to the mound, and he got into trouble after retiring Tom for the first out of the inning. Morrison hit a one out triple, and he scored when Bob followed with a double, making the score 1-0. Reilly would then single, putting runners on first and third. Kimble doubled, scoring both runners, making the score 3-0. Eastbound recorded the second out of the inning when Tom tried to extend the double into a triple and was caught out in between bases.

Christian and Nate were retired in order in the top of the second, and Questionable would add to their lead in the bottom of the inning. Morrison led off the inning with a single, and the next batter, Bob, crushed a two-run blast to right field. Christian retired Reilly for the first out of the inning, but Tom followed with a solo shot, extending the Questionable lead to 6-0. Morrison would fly out for the second out the inning, and Eastbound trailed by 6 runs.

Helal and Ivan were sent down consecutively in the top of the third, and Bob was halfway to perfection. Christian pitched his first scoreless frame in the bottom of the third, and the score remained 6-0.

Hartley and Christian each flew out to the mound in the top of the fourth. Christian pitched another perfect inning in the bottom of the fourth.

Bob retired Nate and Helal, who each grounded out to Kimble in left, in the top of the fifth, and he had retired the game’s first 10 batters. Reilly hit a one-out triple in the bottom of the fifth, but Christian stranded him, retiring Tom to end the inning.

Up 6-0, Bob was two outs away from history in the top of the sixth. Ivan grounded out to left for the first out of the inning, and only Hartley stood between Bob and a perfect game. He hit a high fly to shallow right field, and Morrison camped under it, making the catch and securing only the second no-hitter in EWL history for Bob and Questionable Outfit.
