Bob extended his single-season record for homers, hitting his 32nd, 33rd, and 34th blasts of the season as Questionable Outfit’s offense was too much for Cookies & Cream in a 12-7 win.

After breaking his own record of 30 home runs that was set last season with his 31st home run of this season last week, Bob got right back to work in the final week of the regular season. He led off the game with a solo shot to the opposite field off Cookies & Cream’s starter, Dinger, and Questionable Outfit led the game 1-0 immediately. Reilly later hit a one-out single and moved to second when Mike followed with a single, but Dinger stranded both runners, retiring Bob to avoid further damage.

Reilly took the mound for Eastbound in what would likely be his final start of the 2015 regular season, and he retired the side in order in the bottom of the first.

Questionable would add to their lead in the top of the second. Tom led off the inning with a single and moved to third on a Reilly double to put two runners in scoring position with no outs. Mike then doubled into the left-field tree, scoring both runners to make the score 3-0. Bob grounded out to right for the first out of the inning, but Mike scored on the play, and Questionable led 4-0.

Cookies & Cream bounced back and cut into the deficit in the bottom of the second. Dinger led off the inning with a solo homer to make the score 4-1. Guthrie followed with a single, and Joey drove him in with a two-run homer. Reilly retired Blose and Dinger to end the inning, but Cookies had cut the score to 4-3.

Questionable made up the runs in the top of the third, pulling back ahead by a considerable margin. Reilly doubled to start the inning and scored on an RBI single by Mike to make the score 5-3. Two batters later Tom hit an RBI single to score Mike, and Reilly followed with a two-run homer, putting Questionable ahead 8-3.

Guthrie led off the bottom of the third with a single, but Reilly stranded him, retiring Joey and Blose to maintain the five-run lead.

Questionable extended their lead in the top of the fourth with back-to-back homers to lead off the inning. Bob started with his second of the game, and Tom followed with one of his own. Dinger retired the next two hitters, but Questionable pulled ahead 10-3.

Dinger started the bottom of the fourth with a single and moved to second on a Guthrie groundout to left. Joey then hit an RBI single out of the tree, scoring Dinger to cut the score to 10-4. Blose followed with a two-run blast, and the score was 10-6. Reilly then retired Dinger to end the Cookies rally.

Cookies turned to the bullpen, bringing in Blose to pitch relief. Bob led off the top of the fifth with his third homer of the game and 34th of the season, and Questionable led 11-6. Dinger retired Tom and Reilly to end the inning.

Guthrie led off bottom of the fifth with a single and moved to third on a Joey double, putting two runners in scoring position for Blose. Blose doubled, scoring Guthrie to make the score 11-7. It looked as if Cookies would threaten, but Reilly retired Dinger and Guthrie to strand two runners in scoring position, ending the inning.

Mike started the top of the sixth with a solo shot to left, putting Questionable ahead by five runs. Dinger retired the next two hitters, and Questionable led 12-7 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Joey led off the bottom of the sixth with a double, but fell down in between second and third trying to extend the hit into a triple. He was called out on the play for the first out of the inning. Blose followed with a single, but Dinger retired Reilly to strand the runner, ending the inning and the game.

Questionable had held on to win 12-7 and moved to 14-5 on the season. Cookies fell to 8-11 with the loss. Questionable Outfit won the season series with Cookies & Cream 5-2, winning their final four matchups.
