After a solid year at the plate and a notably better year in the field, Dan of the Ham Slams earned the EWL Most Improved Player Award as the player who improved most from 2015 to 2016. Tim, his teammate, was named EWL Manger of the Year for the second consecutive year. Tim was not in attendance for the event, and Dan accepted the award on his behalf.
Dan improved in nearly every statistical category in 2016, becoming a balanced hitter that could hit for power and average. He also improved significantly in the field, becoming a reliable left fielder where he more than tripled his putout total from 2015.
Tim led the Ham Slams to the #3 seed in the playoffs where they narrowly lost their first round series with Cookies & Cream. He maintained consistency with multiple players coming in and out of the lineup week to week. He joins Bob of Questionable Outfit as the only managers to win Manager of the Year twice.
