Jordan Has Career Game, Leads Cookies & Cream to 14-2 Win Over Ham Slams

Jordan had one of the best single-game performances in EWL history, going 7-for-7, hitting the cycle, and driving in eight runs to lead Cookies & Cream to a runaway victory

Jordan had the best game of his EWL career, going 7-for-7 and hitting for the cycle and pitching the complete game victory, as he led Cookies & Cream to a 14-2 blowout victory over the Ham Slams.

The Ham Slams got on the scoreboard right away in the top of the first, taking an early lead. Dustin doubled to start the game, and two batters later, Josh singled, scoring Dustin from second and putting the Ham Slams ahead 1-0. Josh was caught in between first and second on the play for the second out, ending the inning.

Cookies & Cream would bounce back in a huge way against Dustin in the bottom of the first, blowing the game open. Jordan led off the game with a double, and two batters later, Erich hit a one-out double to score him, tying the game at 1-1. Dinger then hit an RBI double, and Cookies took the lead 2-1. Jordan followed with a two-run blast to left-center, and the score was 4-1. Joey then doubled, and Erich drove him in with a two-run home run to right, making the score 6-1. Dinger then singled, and Jordan hit his second homer of the inning, another two-run shot that put Cookies & Cream ahead 8-1. Dustin finally retired Joey for the second out of the inning, and after the first inning onslaught had ended, the Ham Slams trailed by seven.

Jordan rolled through the top of the second, retiring Steve and Dustin in order.

Dustin got it back together in the bottom of the second, sending Erich and Dinger down consecutively, and the score was 8-1 through two innings.

Tom, making his first EWL appearance, doubled for his first career hit to lead off the third. But the Ham Slams couldn’t capitalize, as Jordan retired Josh and Steve to strand the runner and end the inning.

Cookies would add an insurance run in the bottom of the first. Jordan led off with a triple, and he scored on a sacrifice fly by Joey, making the score 9-1. Erich followed with a one-out single, but Dustin retired the next batter, Dinger, ending the inning.

Jordan pitched another perfect frame in the top of the fourth, and he’d get even more run support in the bottom of the inning.

Jordan also pitched the complete game win for Cookies & Cream, scattering five hits and two runs in six innings

Jordan singled to start the inning, giving him his first career cycle. Two batters later, Erich hit a one-out single to put runners on the corners. Dinger then hit an RBI single, and the score was 10-1. Jordan then cleared the bases with an RBI triple, putting Cookies & Cream ahead 12-1. Dustin retired Joey to end the inning, and Cookies led by eleven.

The Ham Slams would put a small dent in the Cookies lead in the top of the first. Josh led off with a single, and two batters later, Dustin hit an RBI triple, making the score 12-2. Dustin was caught out trying to complete an inside-the-park homer, ending the inning.

Erich led off the bottom of the fifth with a single, and after Dustin struck out Dinger for the first out of the inning, Jordan hit his third homer of the game, and his third two-run homer put Cookies ahead 14-2. Dustin retired Joey to end the inning, and the Ham Slams trailed by twelve heading into their final at-bat.

The Ham Slams went quietly in the top of the sixth, as Jordan retired Tom and Josh in order, giving Cookies & Cream the 14-2 win.

The win moved Cookies & Cream to 2-3 on the season, and the Ham Slams dropped to 1-4.
