Jack Shack Rally Late to Score Eight Unanswered Runs in 8-6 Win Over Guac Boys

Jack Shack erased a five-run first inning deficit by scoring eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings, propelled by Jon D’s three run homer and two Dave solo shots, beating Guac Boys 8-6 for their third straight win.

Jon M took the mound for Jack Shack, and Alec opened the game with a double before Bohn drove him home with an RBI double to put Guac Boys up 1-0. Tone followed with a two-run homer, extending the Guac Boys lead to 3-0. Rece, making his EWL debut, doubled in his first career at-bat, and he scored when Alec grounded out for the first out of the inning, putting Guac Boys ahead 4-0. Bohn then singled, and Tone followed with an RBI single, giving Guac Boys a commanding 5-0 lead before Rece grounded out to end the inning.

Bohn started for Guac Boys, and after allowing a one-out single to Jon M, he retired Jacob to strand the runner, ending the inning.

Alec and Bohn were both retired in the top of the second as Jon M worked a quick inning.

Jon D grounded out to begin the bottom of the second before Dave singled. Josh followed with a double, putting runners on second and third, but Bohn escaped the threat, getting Jon M to groundout, stranding both runners, as Jack Shack remained scoreless.

Tone and Rece were retired in order in the top of the third as Jon M settled in on the mound.

Tone came to the mound from the bullpen to replace Bohn in the bottom of the third. He retired Jacob and Jon D in order, and the score remained 5-0.

Guac Boys added another run in the top of the fourth. Alec doubled, and he scored from second when Bohn grounded out for the first out of the inning, extending the Guac Boys lead to 6-0. Tone singled with one out, but Jon M stranded him, retiring Rece to end the inning.

Jack Shack finally broke through in the bottom of the fourth. Dave led off with a solo homer to put Jack Shack on the board, 6-1. Josh followed with a single, and he scored from first when Jon M singled to cut the deficit to 6-2. Jacob hit Jack Shack’s third consecutive single before Jon D launched a three-run homer, clearing the bases, pulling Jack Shack within a run at 6-5. Tone retired Dave and Josh to end the inning, but the momentum was shifting.

Alec and Bohn were retired in order in the top of the fifth.

Jack Shack took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Jon M singled and Jacob doubled to put two runners in scoring position. Jon D grounded out, but both runners scored on the play, giving Jack Shack a 7-6 lead. Dave then crushed his second solo homer of the game, extending the advantage to 8-6. Josh flew out to end the inning, and Jack Shack had taken a two-run lead heading into the sixth.

Rece hit a one-out single in the top of the sixth, but Jon M closed things out, retiring Alec to strand the runner, ending the inning and the game, as Jack Shack completed an 8-6 comeback win.

The win moved Jack Shack to 5-4 on the season while Guac Boys dropped to 6-3.

Dinger’s Dominant Outing Stifles Shady Characters in 6-3 Cheap Goats Win

Dinger delivered one of the best pitching performances in EWL history, retiring the first ten batters he faced, entering the sixth inning two outs away from a perfect game, and led Cheap Goats to a 6-3 win. He gave up three runs in the sixth, but he had more than enough run support to secure the victory, led by Conor, who went 3-for-4 with a double and two homers, and Cheap Goats snapped a two-game skid.

Tom took the mound and the first batter he faced, Joey, doubled. He got Kevin to groundout for the first out of the inning, but Joey scored on the play, and Cheap Goats led 1-0. He then retired Christian to end the inning.

Dinger cruised through the bottom of the first, retiring Zach and Thomas in order.

Tom worked a scoreless inning in the top of the second, retiring Dinger and Conor consecutively.

Billy flew out and Tom struck out in the bottom of the second as Dinger established control on the mound.

Joey flew out to begin the top of the third before Kevin connected for a triple. Tom escaped trouble, however, as Christian grounded out to strand Kevin at third, ending the inning.

Lucas and Nate were both retired in a quick bottom of the third, and Shady Characters remained without a hit through three innings.

Cheap Goats added to their lead in the top of the fourth. With one out, Conor launched a solo homer, extending the advantage to 2-0. Joey followed with his second double of the game, but Kevin flew out to strand him.

Zach and Thomas were both retired in the bottom of the fourth, and Dinger had retired the first eight Shady Characters’ batters.

Cheap Goats extended their lead in the top of the fifth. Christian led off with a double, and Dinger drove him in with an RBI double, making the score 3-0. Conor followed with his second homer of the game, a two-run shot that pushed the lead to 5-0. Tom retired Joey and Kevin to end the inning, and Shady Characters trailed by five.

Billy flew out and Tom struck out in the bottom of the fifth, and Dinger was perfect through five.

Cheap Goats added an insurance run in the top of the sixth when Christian led off with a solo homer, putting Cheap Goats ahead 6-0. Conor later doubled with one out but was stranded when Tom retired Joey to end the inning.

Dinger was two outs away from the second perfect game in EWL history, but Shady Characters finally broke through in the bottom of the sixth. Lucas led off the inning with a solo homer, ending the perfect game bid and putting Shady Characters on the board, 6-1. Dinger fanned Nate for his third strikeout of the game, but Zach followed with a solo homer, cutting the deficit to 6-2. Thomas then connected for a third consecutive homer, and the back-to-back homers made the score 6-3. The Shady Characters’ rally would end there, however, as Dinger retired Billy to end the inning and the game, giving Cheap Goats a 6-3 win.

The win moved Cheap Goats to 4-5 on the season while Shady Characters dropped to 3-6.

Dave of Jack Shack Named Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

There has only been one rookie to take the field in 2026 so far, and it took him just four weeks to leave his mark on the Wiffle Diamond. Dave, Jack Shack’s newest player, had the best week of his short wiffle career in week 4, reaching base four times in each of Jack Shack’s two week 4 wins, and as a result, he was named Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week.

In a 12-8 win over Shady Characters, Dave went 4-for-6 with two singles, a double, a triple, two runs scored, and three RBI.

In an 8-3 win over Guac Boys, Dave went 4-for-4 with a single, two doubles, a home run, three runs scored, and three RBI.

In total, Dave went 8-for-10 with three singles, three doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs scored, and six RBI in two Jack Shack wins.

This is the first time Dave has received Wiffler of the Week honors.

Lucas Pitches Gem as Shady Characters Down Cheap Goats 6-3

Shady Characters scored four-runs in the fifth inning as Thomas and Tom each hit two-run homers to break open a tightly contested game, defeating Cheap Goats 6-3. Lucas earned the complete game victory with one of the best pitching performances of the 2026 season, scattering three runs on only four hits, and Zach continued his dominance in the leadoff position, hitting his fifth leadoff homer in Shady Characters’ first eight games.

Dinger started on the mound for Cheap Goats, and Shady Characters jumped on him immediately. Zach led off the game with a solo homer, his fifth leadoff home run of the 2026 season, giving Shady Characters an early 1-0 lead. Thomas and Billy were both retired, and Cheap Goats escaped the inning trailing by just one run.

Lucas took the mound for Shady Characters and retired Joey and Kevin in order in the bottom of the first.

Tom K led off the top of the second with a double, and Lucas followed with an RBI double, extending the Shady Characters lead to 2-0. Nate then singled, but Lucas was thrown out at the plate attempting to score on the play. Zach grounded out to end the inning.

Cheap Goats answered in the bottom of the second. With one out, Christian launched a solo homer, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Dinger grounded out to end the inning.

Thomas and Billy were retired in order in the top of the third as Dinger settled in on the mound.

Conor grounded out to begin the bottom of the third before Joey connected for a solo homer, tying the game at 2-2. Kevin followed with a double, but Courtlen grounded out to strand him, ending the inning.

Tom K and Lucas were both retired in the top of the fourth as the game remained tied heading into the bottom half of the inning.

Christian led off the bottom of the fourth with his second solo homer of the game, giving Cheap Goats their first lead at 3-2. Dinger and Conor were both retired to end the inning.

Shady Characters responded with a huge top of the fifth, breaking the game open. Nate opened the inning with a single before Zach flew out. Thomas then crushed a two-run homer, putting Shady Characters back in front 4-3. Billy followed with a double, and Tom K connected for a two-run homer, extending the lead to 6-3. Cheap Goats turned to Conor out of the bullpen, and after allowing a one-out single to Lucas, he got Nate to fly out, ending the inning.

Joey and Kevin were both retired in a quick bottom of the fifth as Lucas continued to control the game.

Zach grounded out to begin the top of the sixth before Thomas and Billy both singled. Conor avoided further damage, getting Tom K to ground out, stranding two runners, and Shady Characters carried a three-run lead into the final frame.

Lucas remained on the mound to close things out for Shady Characters and he made quick work of Cheap Goats in the sixth. Courtlen grounded out and Christian flew out to end the game, and Shady Characters secured the 6-3 victory.

The win moved Shady Characters to 3-5, and Cheap Goats dropped to 3-5 with both teams tied at the bottom of the week 4 EWL standings.

Guac Boys Outlast Cheap Goats 9-6 in Epic Ten Inning Thriller

After going to seven games in the 2025 Wiffle Series, and following Guac Boys’ dramatic walk-off win in the season opener, Cheap Goats and the defending champs continued their heavyweight slugfest into week 4 of the 2026 season, with Guac Boys coming up big yet again in a back-and-forth ten inning battle, winning the most exciting game of the season 9-6. Both teams traded runs in the sixth and ninth innings before Form’s two-run homer, his fourth extra-base hit of the game, gave Guac Boys a three-run lead in the tenth, securing another victory over Cheap Goats.

Christian took the mound for Cheap Goats and retired Bohn and Alec in order in the top of the first.

Bohn started on the mound for Guac Boys and retired Joey and Kevin in the bottom half of the inning.

Tone opened the top of the second with a single, but Jan and Form were both retired to strand him.

Cheap Goats struck first in the bottom of the second. With one out, Christian went deep, and his solo homer gave Cheap Goats a 1-0 lead. Dinger was retired to end the inning.

Bohn grounded out to begin the top of the third before Alec doubled. Tone followed with an RBI single to score Alec and tie the game at 1-1. Jan grounded out to end the inning.

Guac Boys turned to Jan on the mound in the bottom of the third. Conor singled, and two batters later, Kevin launched a two-run homer, giving Cheap Goats a 3-1 lead. Courtlen flew out to end the inning.

Form grounded out to begin the top of the fourth before Bohn singled, but Alec flew out to strand him, and Christian maintained the two-run Cheap Goats’ lead.

Christian and Dinger were both retired in a quick bottom of the fourth as Jan settled in.

Guac Boys rallied in the top of the fifth. Jan hit a one-out triple, and Form drove him in with an RBI double, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Bohn followed with an RBI single to tie the game at 3-3. Alec flew out to end the inning.

Conor and Joey both flew out in a quick bottom of the fifth.

Tone opened the top of the sixth with a solo home run, giving Guac Boys their first lead of the game at 4-3. Jan grounded out before Form tripled, but Bohn grounded out to strand him, ending the inning, and Guac Boys led by a run heading into the final frame.

Cheap Goats evened things up in the bottom of the sixth, extending the game. Kevin connected for his second solo homer of the contest, tying the score at 4-4. Courtlen followed with a double, putting the winning run in scoring position, but Jan retired Christian and Dinger to strand the runner, sending the game to extra innings.

Alec singled in the top of the seventh, but Christian avoided damage, getting Tone to fly out and Jan to ground out to end the inning.

Conor and Joey were retired in order in the bottom of the seventh as Jan continued to work effectively on the mound, and the game remained tied heading into the eighth.

Form flew out and Bohn grounded out in a quick top of the eighth.

Guac Boys elected to intentionally walk Kevin to lead off the the bottom of the eighth, putting the winning run on base. The gamble paid off, as Courtlen and Christian were both retired, stranding the runner, and the game remained tied entering the ninth.

Guac Boys finally broke through in the top of the ninth. Alec singled, and two batters later, Jan hit a two-run homer, giving Guac Boys a 6-4 lead. Form followed with a triple, and Cheap Goats turned to Dinger on the mound. He retired Bohn to strand the runner, ending the inning, and Cheap Goats trailed by two runs.

Cheap Goats once again batttled back in the bottom of the ninth. Jan retired Conor, and with their backs against the wall, Dinger hit a one-out single, putting the tying run at the plate. Joey hit a two-run homer, tying the game at 6-6. Guac Boys turned to Tone on the mound. Kevin followed with a single, putting the winning run on base, but Tone escaped the jam, getting Courtlen to ground out to end the inning.

Guac Boys fired back in the top of the tenth. Tone doubled and Jan followed with an RBI double to score him, putting Guac Boys back in front 7-6. Form then launched a two-run homer, extending the lead to 9-6. Cheap Goats returned to Conor on the mound, and he retired Bohn to end the inning.

Cheap Goats’ magic ran out in the tenth. Tone closed things out quickly, as Christian and Dinger were retired in order and Guac Boys earned a 9-6 extra-inning victory.

The win moved Guac Boys to 6-2 on the season while Cheap Goats fell to 3-4.
