Cookies & Cream led throughout the game despite playing with a depleted roster, but Questionable Outfit rallied in the fifth and sixth innings to take a late lead and hold on to win 7-6, as Cookies dropped their third straight game.

Dinger started on the mound for Cookies & Cream, and he got off to a strong start in the first. After giving up a one-out single to Reilly, he fanned Mike to strand the runner and end the inning.

Cookies started hot at the plate as well, as Joey led off the bottom of the first with a solo homer. Two batters later, Dustin his a one-out bomb, and Cookies led 2-0 after an inning.

Questionable got on the board in the top of the first and cut the Cookies lead in half. Bob hit a one-out single and moved to third on a Reilly double. Mike followed with a single, scoring Bob to make the score 2-1, but he was caught in between bases on the play, ending the inning and the threat.

Cookies got back to work in the bottom of the second, extending their lead. Joey doubled to start the inning, and he moved to third on a Dinger single. With runners on first and third, Dustin hit his second blast of the game, a three-run homer that made the score 5-1. Joey later singled in the inning, but Questionable’s starter, Mike, escaped without further damage.

Questionable started to chip into the Cookies & Cream lead in the top of the third. Stove Donaldson, filling in for Tom who was out for the week, singled to lead off the inning, and scored from first on a one-out Reilly single to make the score 5-2. Mike then tripled, scoring Reilly from first to cut the score to 5-3, but for the second consecutive inning he was caught trying to extend his hit an extra base, ending the inning.

Mike cruised through the bottom of the third, retiring the side in order. Dinger matched him in the top of the fourth, as he pitched a scoreless frame.

Cookies were unable to add to their lead in the bottom of the fourth, as Mike retired Joey and Dinger consecutively.

Questionable continued to reduce the deficit in the top of the fifth, drawing even with Cookies & Cream. Mike led off the inning with his second triple of the game, and two batters later he scored when Bob hit an RBI double, making the score 5-4. Reilly then singled, scoring Bob from second and tying the game at 5-5. Dinger then retired Mike to end the inning.

Cookies came right back in the bottom of the fifth, retaking the lead. Dustin led off with a solo homer, his third round-tripper of the game, putting Cookies back ahead 6-5. Mike retired the next two batters, and Questionable would head into their final at-bat trailing by a run.

Dinger remained in the game to close things out for Cookies, as he had kept the Questionable at-bats in check to this point. Stove, however, led off the inning with a triple off the fence, and Bob drove him in with an RBI single to tie the game at 6-6. Two batters later, Mike singled off the fence, and Bob scored from first to put Questionable ahead for the first time in the game 7-6. Dinger then retired Stove, and despite leading the entire game, Cookies would need to score in the bottom of the sixth to extend the game.

Questionable kept Mike on the mound to close things out, and he did, retiring Dinger and Dustin in order to end the inning and the game. Questionable Outfit had rallied to take the lead in their final at-bat and hold on to win 7-6.

The win moved Questionable to 10-5 on the season, and the loss dropped Cookies & Cream below .500 to 7-8.
