Tom Leads Questionable Outfit in 11-1 Rout of Eastbound & Dahn

Tom had two doubles and two homers to lead Questionable Outfit in a big offensive performance against Eastbound & Dahn

Tom went 5-for-7 with four extra-base hits, including two doubles and two homers, as Questionable Outfit took an early lead and never looked back against Eastbound & Dahn. Bob and Tom combined to allow only two hits, and Questionable Outfit extended their lead in the EWL standings.

Christian took the mound for Eastbound & Dahn, and he fell behind early as Questionable Outfit jumped out to fast start. Bob singled to lead off the game, and he scored from first when Tom followed with an RBI double to make the score 1-0. Rairigh followed with an RBI triple, and Questionable led 2-0. Miller then singled to score Rairigh, and Bob followed with a two-run shot to right. Tom then went deep with a solo homer, and the back-to-back homers put Questionable Outfit ahead 6-0 before Eastbound had recorded an out. Christian got back on track, retiring Rairigh and Miller to end the inning, and Eastbound had dug themselves a hole that would be difficult to climb out of.

Bob started for Questionable Outfit, and after retiring Christian for the first out of the inning, Nate O followed with a solo shot to left, cutting the score to 6-1. Bob then retired Kyle to end the inning.

After a rough first inning, Christian retired the side in order in the top of the second. Bob matched him in the bottom half of the inning, and the score remained 6-1.

Miller singled with one out in the top of the third, but Christian remained effective, retiring Bob to strand the runner and end the inning.

Nate O tripled with one out in the bottom of the third, but Eastbound couldn’t start a rally, as Bob retired Kyle to strand the runner and maintain the five run lead.

Christian had retired six of seven Questionable hitters, but he would give up more runs in the top of the fourth. Tom led off with a double, and two batters later, Miller hit an RBI double to extend the Questionable lead to 7-1. Bob then singled, scoring Miller from second to make the score 8-1. Tom followed with a single to put runners on the corners, but Christian limited the damage, retiring Rairigh to strand two runners and end the inning.

Bob cruised through the bottom of the fourth, sending Nate C and BK down in order.

Questionable would add a few more insurance runs in the top of the fifth. Miller started the inning with a solo homer, making the score 9-1. Bob followed with a double, and Tom drove him in with his second round-tripper of the game, a two-run bomb that pushed the Questionable Outfit lead to 11-1. Mike then doubled, but the scoring would end there, as Christian retired Miller and Bob to strand Mike and end the inning.

Bob once again retired the side in order in the bottom of the fifth, and Questionable led by ten runs heading into the final frame.

Christian sent Tom and Rairight down consecutively in the top of the sixth, and Eastbound would need a big rally to extend the game.

Questionable removed Bob from the mound and brought Tom in from the bullpen for an inning of relief. He retired Kyle and Nate C in order, ending the inning and the game, giving Questionable Outfit an 11-1 victory.

The win moved Questionable Outfit to 6-1 on the season, and the loss dropped Eastbound & Dahn to 2-5.
