Jason went 3-for-3 to power Shady Characters to their sixteenth win of the regular season, tying Questionable Outfit for the most wins in a single season, with one game to go
Tom pitched a four-hit shutout allowing only one base runner to advance past first base, and Jason went 3-for-3 with a double and two homers as Shady Characters continued to round into post season form coming down the homestretch of the 2022 regular season. Mike and Nate each had two hits for the first place team as they moved one win closer to clinching the best regular season record in EWL history.
Tom allowed a lead off single to Alec in the top of the first, but retired the next two hitters, Jude and Jan, to strand him, ending the inning
Jan took the mound for the Guac Boys and he retired Dylan and Mike in order in the bottom of the first.
Tom allowed a one-out double to Bohn in the top of the second, but then retired Alec to strand him. It would be the only base runner to advance past first base in the game for the Guac Boys.

Tom got all the run support he needed in the bottom of the second. Jason doubled with one out, and Lucas drove him in with an RBI double that made the score 1-0. Nate followed with a single but was caught out trying to advance the hit into a double, ending the inning.

Jude led off the top of the third with a single, but Tom retired Jan and Brum to strand him at first, ending the inning.
Mike singled with one out in the bottom of the third, but Jan stranded him, retiring Tom to end the inning.
Tom rolled through the top of the fourth, retiring Bohn and Alec in order.
Jason led off the bottom of the fourth with a solo bomb to right, putting Shady Characters ahead 2-0. Two batters later Nate hit a one-out double, but Jan stranded him, retiring Dylan to end the inning.

Tom once again cruised in the top of the fifth, sending Jude and Jan down consecutively.
Mike started the bottom of the fifth with a single, and two batters later Jason went deep for the second time in the game. His two-run shot gave Shady Characters a 4-0 lead. Jan then retired Lucas to end the inning.

Brum led off the top of the sixth with a single, but Shady Characters were never threatened. Tom retired Bohn and Alec to strand the runner and end the inning, giving Shady Characters a 4-0 win.
The win moved Shady Characters to 16-3 on the season, and the loss dropped the Guac Boys to 8-11.
