
Thomas went three-for-three with three solo homers, providing all of the run support Shady Characters would need in a 5-2 win over Jack Shack
Thomas continued the hot start to his rookie campaign, going 3-for-3 with solo homers in each of his three at-bats, leading Shady Characters to a 5-2 in over Jack Shack. Tom and Lucas combined to pitch effectively on the mound, scattering only two runs on seven hits, as Shady Characters remained at the top of the season standings.
Jon D took the mound for Jack Shack, and after allowing a lead off double to Tom, he got Nate to ground out to the mound. Tom was caught in between bases on the play, concluding in a double play that ended the inning.
Tom started for Shady Characters, and he retired Josh and Jon M in order in the bottom of the second.
Jon retired Lucas to start the top of the second, but Thomas followed with a solo homer, putting Shady Characters in front 1-0. Jon then retired Daniel to end the inning.
Jon D hit a one-out double in the bottom of the second, but Tom stranded him, retiring Ryan to end the inning, and Shady Characters continued to lead 1-0.
Justin singled to start the top of the third, and Tom followed with a two-run homer, making the score 3-0. Jon then struck out Nate and and retired Lucas to end the inning, and Jack Shack trailed by three runs.

Josh tripled to lead off the bottom of the third, and when Jon M grounded out for the first out of the inning, Josh scored, cutting the Shady Characters lead to 3-1. Tom then retired Jacob to end the inning.
Thomas started the top of the fourth with his second homer of the game, another solo shot that put Shady Characters ahead 4-1. Jon then retired Daniel and struck out Justin to end the inning.
Tom had met his innings limit for the week, and Shady Characters brought Lucas to the mound in the bottom of the fourth. He retired Jon D and Ryan in order, and Jack Shack continued to trail by three runs.
Jon rolled through the top of the fifth, retiring Tom and Nate in order.
Jack Shack had one of the more unusual innings in league history in the bottom of the fifth, with three hitters all reaching base safely but recording two outs. Josh singled, and when Jon M followed with a single, Josh was caught out trying to score on the play. Jacob then singled, but Jon M was caught in between bases. All three Jack Shack players had singled, but Shady Characters recorded two outfield assists to end the inning, and the score remained 4-1.
Shady Characters added an insurance run in the top of the sixth. Jon retired Lucas for the first out, but Thomas followed with third homer in as many at-bats, a solo shot that gave Shady Characters a 5-1 lead. Jon then retired Daniel to end the inning, and Jack Shack trailed by four runs heading into the bottom of the sixth.
Jon D started the bottom of the sixth with a triple, and two batters later, Josh hit a one out single to score him, cutting the deficit to 5-2. The rally would end there, however. Lucas retired Jon M to strand Josh at first, ending the inning and the game, giving Shady Characters a 5-2 win.
The win moved Shady Characters to 5-1 on the season, and the loss dropped Jack Shack to 1-5.
