Erich Hits for Cycle as Cookies & Cream Roll Past Eastbound & Dahn 15-1

Erich hit for the cycle for the first time in his career, going 6-for-8 and driving in six runs.

Erich hit for the cycle for the first time in his career, going 6-for-8 with a single, a double, two triples, and two homers, as he helped lead Cookies & Cream to a 15-1 victory over Eastbound & Dahn. Jordan continued to swing a hot bat for Cookies, going 6-for-8 with two singles, two doubles, and two homers, and he also pitched a complete game win, allowing only one run on five hits.

BK took the mound for Eastbound, and he was hit early and often, receiving little help from the defense behind him. Jordan led off the game with a single, and he moved from first to third on a Guthrie double, which put two runners in scoring position. Erich followed with a three-run blast that immediately put Cookies & Cream ahead 3-0. BK fanned the next batter, Joey, and then retired Jordan to end the inning.

Jordan started for Cookies & Cream, and after allowing a one-out double to Christian in the bottom of the first, he retired Nate C to strand the runner and end the inning.

Cookies would add to their lead in the top of the second. Erich tripled with one out, and Joey drove him in with an RBI double that made the score 4-0. Jordan followed with a two-run homer, and Cookies led 6-0. Guthrie singled and moved from first to third on an Erich double, putting two runners in scoring position with one out, but BK got Joey to fly out to left, stranding both runners and ending the inning.

Jordan rolled through the bottom of the second, retiring BK and Kyle in order to end the inning.

The Cookies onslaught continued in the top of the third, as they would add three more runs to their lead. Jordan led off the inning with a single, and Guthrie drove him in with an RBI double that made the score 7-0. Erich followed with a triple, his second of the game, scoring Guthrie to extend the Cookies lead to 8-0. BK struck out Joey for the second time in the game, but Jordan followed with a one-out double, scoring Erich and Cookies led 9-0. Guthrie flew out for the second out of the inning, and Cookies had pulled out to a nine-run lead.

Jordan retired the side in order again in the bottom of the third, sending Nate O and Christian down consecutively.

Cookies would score yet again in the top of the fourth. Joey hit a one-out triple, and Jordan drove him in with his second two-run homer of the game. BK retired Guthrie to end the inning, and Cookies & Cream now led 11-0.

BK singled with one out in the bottom of the fourth, but Eastbound couldn’t generate a rally, as Jordan retired Kyle to strand the runner and end the inning.

For the fifth consecutive inning, Cookies & Cream would add to their lead in the top of the fifth. Erich singled to start the inning, and after BK struck out Joey for the third time in the game, Jordan doubled to put two runners in scoring position with one out. Guthrie followed with an RBI triple, clearing the bases and putting Cookies & Cream ahead 13-0. Erich continued to dominate, crushing a two-run homer, his second blast of the game, and Cookies led 15-0. BK got Joey to fly out for the second out of the inning, and Eastbound trailed by fifteen runs.

Jordan pitched the complete game for Cookies & Cream, allowing only one run over six innings. He also went 6-for-8 with four extra-base hits.

Eastbound would get on the board in the bottom of the fifth. Christian doubled with one out, and Nate C drove him in with an RBI single, cutting the score to 15-1. Jordan would end the rally there, however, getting BK to ground out to left, ending the inning and stranding the runner.

After scoring at least two runs in each of the first five innings, Cookies would go scoreless for the first time in the game in the top of the sixth. Guthrie hit a one-out double, but BK stranded him at second, retiring Erich to end the inning.

Kyle led off the bottom of the sixth with a single, but Eastbound couldn’t generate enough offense to make the game interesting. Jordan retired Nate O and Christian, stranding Kyle and ending the inning and the game, giving Cookies & Cream a 15-1 victory.

The win moved Cookies & Cream to 4-4 on the season, and the loss dropped Eastbound & Dahn to 2-6.
