Tom started the season with a bang, delivering one of the most efficient weeks in league history, leading three-time defending champion Shady Characters to a 2-0 start to the 2024 season.
In a 7-1 win over Guac Boys, Tom was perfect, going 5-for-5 with two singles, three doubles, two runs scored, and two RBI.
In a 21-12 blowout win over Cheap Goats, Tom had a career game, going 8-for-9 with two singles, a double, five home runs, six runs scored, and eight RBI. Had his teammate Thomas not broken the single-game home run record in the same game, Tom would have tied the long-standing single-game record with five home runs.
In total, Tom went an incredible 13-for-14 with four singles, four doubles, five home runs, eight runs scored, and ten RBI in week 1.
This is the fifth time in Tom’s career that he has been voted Wiffler of the Week after earning the award twice throughout the 2023 EWL season, once in 2022, and once in 2021.
