Bob Hits for the Cycle as Questionable Outfit Storm Past Eastbound & Dahn 15-4

Questionable Outfit remained undefeated, handing Eastbound & Dahn their first loss of the year, as Bob hit for the cycle and Mike hit three homers in a 15-4 rout.

Christian started for Eastbound, and he was hit hard by Questionable Outfit’s punishing lineup. Bob hit a one-out solo homer in the top of the first, and Questionable went up 1-0 after half an inning.

Eastbound would bounce back in the bottom of the first, when Hartley matched Bob’s blast with a one-out solo homer of his own off Reilly, tying the game at 1-1 through one.

Questionable had their first of three big innings in the top of the second. Reilly led off the inning with a single and scored when Bob followed with a triple to make the score 2-1. Tom’s double scored Bob to make the score 3-1, and Mike followed with a two-run bomb to put Questionable ahead 5-1.

Eastbound showed some tenacity in the bottom of the second, chipping away at the Questionable lead. Steve led off the inning with a solo homer, and Helal followed with another. The back-to-back homers made the score 5-3 after two innings.

Bob led off the top of the third with a solo homer, his second of the game, making the score 6-3. Christian retired the next two batters, but Eastbound couldn’t provide any run support in the bottom of the third when Reilly retired the side in order.

Christian pitched his first scoreless inning of the game in the top of the fourth, but Eastbound couldn’t capitalize in the bottom half of the inning, and these core remained 6-3.

Mike led off the top of the fifth with a solo homer, his second round-tripper of the game, making the score 7-3. Reilly followed with a solo homer, and the back-to-back jacks put Questionable ahead 8-3. After retiring Bob for the first time in the game, Christian gave up his third homer of the inning, a solo shot to Tom, making the score 9-3. Eastbound turned to the bullpen, brining in Hartley, who retired the first batter he faced to end the inning.

Christian provided some run support in the bottom of the fifth with a solo homer, cutting the score to 9-4.

Questionable Outfit pulled away for an easy victory in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs. Reilly doubled to lead off the inning, and Bob followed with a two-run bomb, making the score 11-4. After a Tom single, Mike hit a two-run blast, extending the lead to 13-4. Later in the inning, Bob singled, and Tom hit Questionable’s third two-run homer of the inning, and the score was 15-4.

Eastbound went down quickly in the bottom half of the sixth, as Reilly retired the side in order to end the game and give Questionable Outfit the victory.

The win moved Questionable Outfit to 3-0 on the season, while the loss dropped Eastbound & Dahn to 2-1.
