Norris pitched a gem in the complete game win, allowing only one run on four hits, and he also provided his own run support with a solo homer in the third.
In one of the lowest scoring games of the 2018 season thus far, Loss Mitigation edged Cheap Goats 3-1, as Norris allowed only a single run on four hits in a complete game victory. Norris also homered in the game, as Loss Mitigation found a way to win even with their potent offense held in check by Christian and Cheap Goats.
Jordan singled off Norris to start the top of the first, but he was stranded, as Joey and Christian were retired to end the inning. Christian cruised through the bottom of the first, retiring Bob and Mike in order.
Dinger singled to lead off the top of the second, but Norris stranded another Cheap Goats runner, retiring the next two batters to end the inning, and the game remained scoreless.

Loss Mitigation would get on the board in the bottom of the second. Nate singled, and two batters later, Bob hit a one-out double, scoring Nate to put Loss Mitigation ahead 1-0. Christian retired Mike to strand Bob, ending the inning, and Cheap Goats trailed by a run.
Norris retired Cheap Goats in order in the top of the third, and he’d provide his own run support in the bottom of the inning. With one out, he hit a solo homer to left-center, putting Loss Mitigation in front 2-0.
Christian was very effective, limiting Loss Mitigation to only three runs on six hits, despite taking the loss.
Cheap Goats would cut into the Loss Mitigation lead in the top of the fourth. With one out, Joey hit a solo homer to left, making the score 1-0. Norris retired the next batter, Christian, to end the inning, and Loss Mitigation led by a run.
Christian retired Loss Mitigation in order in the bottom of the fourth, sending Mike and Nate down consecutively.

Jordan doubled with one out in the top of the fifth, but Norris was able to strand another Cheap Goats runner, retiring Joey to end the inning.
Loss Mitigation would add an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth. Bob singled with one out, and he moved to second when Mike followed with a single. Nate then singled, scoring Bob, but Nate was tagged out trying to extend the hit into a double, which ended the inning.

Down 3-1, Cheap Goats would need a rally that they couldn’t start in the top of the sixth. Norris retired Christian and Dinger in order, ending the inning and giving Loss Mitigation the 3-1 win.
The win moved Loss Mitigation to 7-3 on the season, and the loss dropped Cheap Goats to 4-6.
