Miller, the 2017 EWL Pitch King with Questionable Outfit, went 2-for-4 with an RBI sac fly, double, homer, and three RBI before leaving the game with a season-ending injury.

Despite losing their team captain, Miller, to what later was diagnosed as the worst injury in the history of the EWL, the Porkswords beat Cheap Goats 8-7 led by Josh, who went 6-for-6 with two home runs. Miller came up lame after making an approach toward a fly ball in foul territory and immediately left the game. He was later diagnosed with a ruptured achilles tendon, the a season-ending injury that became the most severe wiffle injury the league has seen. Josh’s six hits and Steve’s three extra-base hits helped the Porkswords pick up a narrow victory, moving them closer to the rest of the league in the EWL standings.

Miller started on the mound for the Porkswords, and the first batter he faced, Jordan, hit a towering solo homer to left-center, putting Cheap Goats ahead 1-0. Miller retired the next two batters, Joey and Christian, to end the inning.
