Brian allowed only a single run over a complete game win for Jack Shack, and he had an RBI double at the plate
Brian stranded six Cheap Goats runners, allowing only a single run, as Jack Shack picked up a 3-1 victory. Despite only collecting five total hits throughout the game, Jack Shack was efficient with their base runners, and their defense held the Cheap Goats offense in check.
The first batter of the game, Brett, hit a leadoff triple off of Brian. But Brian immediately began stranding Cheap Goats runners, retiring Joey and Jordan to strand Brett at third, ending the inning.
Christian took the mound for Cheap Goats, and he rolled through the bottom of the first, retiring Adam and Brian in order.
Christian singled to lead off the bottom of the second, but Brian stranded him, retiring Brett and Joey to end the inning.
Christian once again cruised through an inning, retiring Dustin and Turbo in order in the bottom of the second.

Brian retired Jordan to start the top of the third, and then struck out Christian to end the inning.
Jack Shack got on the board in the bottom of the third. Josh D led off with a triple, and Adam drove him in with an RBI double, making the score 1-0. Two batters later, Dustin hit a one-out RBI triple, scoring Adam, and Jack Shack led 2-0. Christian then retired Turbo to end the inning, stranding Dustin at third.
Cheap Goats cut the deficit in half in the top of the fourth. Brett led off the inning with a single, and moved to third when Joey followed with a single, however, Joey was caught out trying to extend the hit into a double, for the first out of the inning. Jordan then singled, putting runners on the corners with one out. Christian became the fourth consecutive batter to single, driving in Brett, and the score was 2-1. Cheap Goats had two runners on, but Brian avoided further damage, retiring Brett to strand both runners, ending the inning.
Josh D went 2-for-3 with a single and a triple to lead Jack Shack on offense in their win over Cheap Goats
Jack Shack made up the run in the bottom of the fourth. Josh D led off with a single, and two batters later, Brian provided his own run support, hitting an RBI double, scoring Josh D to make the Jack Shack lead 3-1. Christian then retired Dustin to end the inning.
Brian retired Cheap Goats in order in the top of the fifth, sending Joey and Jordan down consecutively.
Christian matched him in the bottom of the fifth, retiring Turbo and Josh D in order.
Down two runs, Cheap Goats couldn’t rally in the top of the sixth. Brian allowed a one-out double to Brett, putting the tying run at the plate, but he then retired Joey to strand Brett at second, ending the game and giving Jack Shack the 3-1 win.
The win moved Jack Shack to 5-7 on the season, and the loss dropped Cheap Goats to .500 at 6-6.

Kyle went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, and a triple as Guacamol-yay won their fourth straight
Jan, Kyle, and Alec each contributed three hits a piece, and Josh and Jude combined to allow only four runs on the mound, as Guacamol-yay won their fourth straight with a 6-4 win over Shady Characters. Guacamol-yay tallied eleven hits, continuing to swing hot bats and climb up the standings after an 0-8 start to the 2021 season.
Tom K started on the mound, and he started on fire, striking out the side, only the eighth time that has occurred in EWL history.
Josh K took the mound for Guacamol-yay, and after allowing a leadoff double to Dylan, he retired Nate and Tom to strand Dylan at second, ending the inning.
Tom K was effective again in the top of the second. After allowing a one-out double to Kyle, he stranded the runner, retiring Alec to end the inning.
Josh K matched him in the bottom of the second, retiring Lucas and Dylan in order.
Lucas entered the game to relieve Tom K, who had met his innings limit for the week. The first batter he faced, Jan, hit a leadoff single, but Lucas buckled down. He retired Josh K and Jude, stranding Jan at first, and the game remained scoreless.
Lucas scrambles from the mound to make a catch for an out
Josh K had also met his innings limit for the week, and he was relieved by Jude. Jude allowed a one-out single to Tom K before retiring Lucas to strand Tom at first, ending the inning.
With the game tied at 0-0 through three innings, Guacamol-yay had an offensive burst in the top of the fourth. Kyle led off the inning with a triple, and Alec drove him in with an RBI single, making the score 1-0. Jan then singled, putting runners on first and second with no outs. Josh K followed with a single, loading the bases for Jude. Jude singled, scoring Alec, and Guacamol-yay led 2-0. With the bases still loaded, Kyle singled again, scoring Jan, and the score was 3-0 with the bases loaded again. Alec then singled, scoring Josh K, and Guacamol-yay had hit six consecutive singles, taking a 4-0 lead. With the bases still loaded, Lucas finally recorded an out, getting Jan to ground out to center. Jude scored on the play, and Guacamol-yay led 5-0. Lucas escaped the inning by retiring Josh K for the second out.

Shady Characters showed some life at the play in the bottom of the fourth. Dylan led off with a single and moved to third when Nate followed with a double. With no outs and two runners in scoring position, Tom K grounded out to left, scoring Dylan to cut the deficit to 5-1. Lucas then doubled, scoring Nate, and Guacamol-yay led 5-2. Jude then retired Dylan to end the inning, stranding Lucas at second.
Lucas struck out Jude to start the top of the fifth and then retired Kyle to end the inning.
Shady Characters continued to chip away at the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Tom tripled with one out, and Lucas drove him in with an RBI single, making the score 5-3. Dylan then doubled, scoring Lucas from first, and the Guacamol-yay lead had reduced to a run at 5-4. Jude then retired Nate to end the inning, stranding Dylan at second.

Guacamol-yay added an insurance run in the top of the sixth. Alec led off with a triple, and Jan drove him in with an RBI double, making the score 6-4. Lucas then struck out Josh K and retired Jude, ending the inning.
Down two runs, Shady Characters couldn’t rally in the bottom of the sixth. Tom led off the inning with a double, but the rally would end there. Jude struck out Lucas and retired Dylan, stranding Tom at second, and giving Guacamol-yay a 6-4 victory.

Tom continued his career year on the mound, moving to 7-1 as a starter with a complete game win over Cheap Goats
Tom allowed only one run on four hits and struck out one, in addition to going 3-for-4 at the plate, as Shady Characters tightened their grip on first place in the EWL standings with a 2-1 victory over Cheap Goats. Playing without their MVP candidate Mike, Shady Characters tightened up on defense, with Tom narrowly outperforming Jordan’s strong pitching outing for Cheap Goats.
Tom allowed a leadoff single to Brett to start the game, but when Joey followed with a double, Brett was thrown out trying to score on the play, for the first out of the inning. Tom then retired Jordan to strand Joey at second, ending the inning.

Shady Characters took an early lead in the bottom of the first. Dylan led off with a triple, and after Jordan struck out Nate for the first out, Tom hit an RBI double, scoring Dylan to put Shady Characters in front 1-0. Jordan then retired Lucas to end the inning.
Tom rolled through the top of the second, retiring Christian and Brett in order.
Jordan matched him in the bottom of the second, sending Dylan and Nate down consecutively.
Tom once again cruised in the top of the third, retiring Joey and Jordan.

Shady Characters extended their lead in the bottom of the third. Tom led off with a single and moved from first to third when Lucas followed with a double. Jordan got Dylan to ground out to center for the first out of the inning, but Tom scored on the play, making the score 2-0. Jordan then retired Nate to strand Lucas at second, ending the inning.
Tom allowed a one-out single to Brett in the top of the fourth, but Cheap Goats couldn’t advance him. Tom retired Joey to strand Brett at first, ending the inning.
Tom singled to start the bottom of the fourth, and two batters later, Dylan hit a one-out single, putting runners at first and second with one out. But Jordan buckled down, striking out Nate to strand both runners, ending the inning.
Cheap Goats stalled again in the top of the fifth, as Tom retired Jordan and Christian in order.
Jordan once again matched Tom in the bottom of the fifth, sending Tom and Lucas down, and Shady Characters led 2-0 heading into the sixth.
Dylan had two hits and drove in the winning run as Shady Characters moved to 9-3 and remained comfortably in first place
Cheap Goats cut the lead in half and ended Tom’s shutout bid when Brett led off the top of the sixth with a solo shot to right-center, making the score 2-1. The rally would end there, however, as Tom struck out Joey and retired Jordan, ending the inning and the game and giving Shady Characters a 2-1 victory.
The win moved Shady Characters to 9-2 on the season, and the loss dropped Cheap Goats to 6-5.

Josh K delivered one of the best pitching performances of the season, tossing a one-hitter, allowing only a single run in a complete game win for Guacamol-yay.
In the first game after hitting a grand slam en route to beating Cheap Goats, Josh K pitched a one-hitter against Jack Shack, carrying Guacamol-yay to a 2-1 win, their third consecutive victory. Josh K allowed a solo homer in the second inning, and it was Jack Shack’s only hit and run in the game. Kyle was the only Guacamol-yay hitter with multiple hits in the pitcher’s duel, going 2-for-3 with a single, a double, and he drove in the winning run.
Dustin was in a pitcher’s duel with Josh K for all six innings of Guacamol-yay’s 2-1 win.
Josh K started out strong, living up to the K in his name, striking out Adam to start the game. He then retired Brian to end the inning.
Dustin took the mound for Jack Shack, and he fell behind early. The first batter he faced, Jan, doubled, and two batters later, Jude hit an RBI double to score him, putting Guacamol-yay ahead 1-0. Kyle then doubled, scoring Jude, and the lead was 2-0. When the next batter, Alec, hit a single, Josh D gunned Kyle out at the plate for the second out of the inning.

Down two runs, Jack Shack got on the board in the top of the second. Dustin led off the inning with a solo homer, cutting the score to 2-1. Josh K then retired Turbo and Josh D to end the inning.
After allowing two runs in the bottom of the first, Dustin also got into a groove, dueling Josh K the rest of the contest. He allowed a one-out single to Josh K in the bottom of the second but stranded him, retiring Jude for the second out of the inning.
Kyle went 2-for-3 and drove in the winning run with an RBI double in the bottom of the first inning
Josh K rolled through the top of the third, once again striking out Adam and retiring Brian.
