Dustin of Jack Shack Named Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

  • After going 7-for-9 with seven RBI in week 4, Dustin was voted PBR Wiffler of the Week

Although his team has sputtered in the standings, Dustin has had the best start to a season in his EWL career, and he was voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week for week 4 of the 2021 season.

During the offseason, Dustin handed over Captain status to his Jack Shack teammate Brian, and became a father, but if anything, his bat has improved, and it was on display in week 4.

In a win over Cheap Goats, Dustin went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, three runs scored, three RBI, and he led Jack Shack on defense with six putouts.

In a narrow loss to Shady Characters, he went 4-for-4 with a single, a triple, two homers, two runs scored, and four RBI. He was also intentionally walked in his final at-bat.

In total, Dustin went 7-for-9 with six extra-base hits and seven RBI over two games in week 4.

This is the fifth time in Dustin’s career that he has been voted Wiffler of the Week.

Mike of Shady Characters Voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

  • Mike has led Shady Characters to a 5-1 start to the season, tied for first place, and he was voted the PBR Wiffler of the Week for week 3.

Mike continued his scorching hot start to the 2021 season with another strong week in week 3, leading Shady Characters to two victories and into a tie for first place in the EWL standings.

In a win over undefeated Cheap Goats, he went 4-for-5 with a double, three home runs, four runs scored, and five RBI.

In an extra-innings win over Jack Shack, he also went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI.

Mike also registered eleven total putouts in week 3, extending his league leading total.

This is Mike’s second time winning Wiffler of the Week. He also won in week 4 of the 2020 season.

Nate of Shady Characters Voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

  • Nate, signed as a free agent earlier that day, had the best individual performance of the early 2021 EWL season, and was voted Wiffler of the Week for week 2.

Just hours after being signed by Shady Characters as a last minute free agent replacement, Nate, veteran of Eastbound & Dahn and Loss Mitigation, had one of the best weeks of his career and was voted PBR Wiffler of the Week for week 2 of the 2021 season.

In a loss to Cheap Goats, Nate went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, and a run scored, leading Shady Characters on offense.

In the second game of week 2, he propelled Shady Characters to a blowout win over Guacamol-yay, going 7-for-9 with three singles, two doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs scored, four RBI, and he hit for the cycle for the fifth time in his EWL career.

The EWL may see more of Nate throughout the 2021 season, or this may be his only appearance. Either way, he made his presence felt, winning Wiffler of the Week for the fourth time in his EWL career.

Kyle of Guacamol-yay Voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week

  • Kyle started his EWL career with a home run, he hit .500 for the week, and he was voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week for week 1.

In his first week as a wiffler, Kyle of Guacamol-yay was voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week for week 1 of the 2021 season.

His team, Guacamol-yay, went 0-2, but Kyle made his presence felt. He homered in his first career at-bat, and he finished the week going 4-for-8 with a single, two doubles, a home run, two runs scored, an RBI.

This is Kyle’s first time winning PBR Wiffler of the Week.

Christian of Cheap Goats Voted Pabst Blue Ribbon Wiffler of the Week for Week 2 of the 2020 Playoffs

With one of Cheap Goats’ stars out due to injury, Christian stepped up and delivered one of the best weeks of his career, leading Cheap Goats to the 2020 Wiffle Series and earning Wiffler of the Week honors.

After steadily improving throughout the season, Christian’s 2020 Wiffle campaign peaked during week 2 of the EWL playoffs, when he had six extra-base hits, leading Cheap Goats to a first round win in their series against Shady Characters and the franchise’s first berth in the Wiffle Series.

Christian turned in career numbers during the 2020 regular season and consistently delivered timely hits during Cheap Goat’s second half surge to the regular season pennant. Without veteran Jordan in the lineup, Christian stepped up, making key plays in the field and propelling the Cheap Goats offense to a series-clinching win over Shady Characters.

In a 6-2 loss in game three of the series, Christian went 2-for-3 with two doubles. He was the only Cheap Goats player with multiple hits in the game, and had two of the team’s four hits.

In a 13-6 win in game four of the series, Christian went 5-for-7 with a single, three doubles, a triple, and four runs scored. He also pitched one inning of scoreless relief, closing out the final inning that sent Cheap Goats to the Wiffle Series.

In total, Christian went 7-for-10 with a single, five doubles, a triple, and four runs scored.

This is the first time Christian has been voted PBR Wiffler of the Week in his wiffle career.
